What makes this Recipe Book worth using
Smart serving scaling
Cooking for two tonight and eight on Sunday? Change the serving count and every ingredient amount recalculates instantly.
Built-in step timers
Timers start from inside the instructions, so the 12 minutes for the onions is one tap away instead of a separate phone app.
Personal notes and cooking logs
Record what you changed, how long it really took, and how it turned out — the notes that turn a recipe into your recipe.
Easy family sharing
Your whole collection is one file. Send it over AirDrop, WhatsApp, or email, and it opens on the other side.

Frequently asked questions
Can I import recipes from a website?
Not automatically — paste the ingredients and steps in, or ask the built-in AI assistant to tidy up text you have copied. Nothing is fetched from the web behind your back.
Will my recipes still open in ten years?
A .capsule file is a standard SQLite database, one of the most widely supported formats there is. Even without Capsule, the data can be read.
Do I need to create an account?
No. There are no accounts, no passwords, and no signups. Open the template and start using it.
Where is my data saved?
On your own device, inside a single .capsule file you choose the location of — the same way a photo or a spreadsheet is saved. Nothing is uploaded.
Can my friends open the file if they don't have the app?
Yes. Send them the file and they can open it in the free Capsule Web Preview in any browser, with no install and no account.
Does it cost anything?
No. Capsule and every template are free, with no subscription, no ads, and no paid tier holding features back.
Does it work offline?
Always. The app, its data, and its interface all live in the one file, so nothing needs a connection — on a plane, in a basement, or with your Wi-Fi off.
